A Full Wedding Day at Syon Park

Today I’m taking a trip down memory lane to the May bank holiday 2017 where I spent the entire day at Syon Park looking after the bride Shakeela for not just 1, not even 2, but 3 hair and makeup changes for her special day.

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Rachelle, from Trust In Love Weddings, who is an absolute sweetheart and a total wizard at wedding planning!  And all these fabulous moments that are pictured here were taken by the wonderful Zosia Zacharia.

After having a previous trial arranged by family members that she was unhappy with, Shakeela turned to Rachelle for some advice and she suggested that she have a chat with me.

Understandably, due to her previous unsuccessful trial, Shakeela was a little apprehensive so we took the hair and makeup trial very slowly and spent time chatting over emails prior and after to ensure that she had explored all options and was 100% happy with her chosen styles for the day.

It was a damp morning when I arrived at Syon Park to get Shakeela and her bridesmaid ready for the civil ceremony but thankfully as the day progressed the clouds dissipated to make way for the glorious sunshine.

For the civil ceremony, we kept Shakeela’s makeup light and natural and piled her hair high up so that it could be seen from the front along with wisps of hair softening the look and framing her face. Her lovely bridesmaid opted for a classic half up, half down hairstyle.

While the guests were enjoying the drinks reception we then had a window of time after the civil ceremony and group photographs to prepare Shakeela’s hairstyle and makeup for the Hindu ceremony.  Her hair took on a complete re-style into a side do, and with her makeup, we simply darkened her lip colour.

I couldn’t have been happier for Shakeela and Richard when the glorious sun decided to come out ust in time to shine down on them throughout the whole Hindu ceremony.

Before long it was time for another change up for Shakeela for her evening reception.  She wore a gorgeous strapless orange dress and we intensified her the makeup for more of an “evening glam” look and with some forward thinking on the way I arranged her hair for the Hindu ceremony.

I only needed to remove a few pins and define a few curls before she was ready with look number 3 and back out into the gorgeous glass conservatory celebrating with her guests for the evening.

It’s not often I get to spend the whole day with my brides and it was a real pleasure to be on hand for Shakeela throughout and there are certainly worse places to be working all day than in the beautiful grounds of Syon Park.

syon-park-weddingCongratulations to Shakeela and Richard and a big thank you for letting me be involved in your special day.

And a  huge well done to all the suppliers involved, particularly Rachelle for planning such a busy day and executing it to perfection.
